Though it can certainly be worn alone, we designed the LS Merino Crew as a mid-weight garment to layer over our shorter-sleeved, lighter weight Merino Crew. The result is a trim, tiered clothing system that looks and performs just as well in the city as it does outdoors.
The LS Crew is made with a slightly heavier core fabric than our Henley or Crew; 260 gsm (grams / square meter) compared to 170 gsm. We tested several options, and found 260 is the sweet spot for warmth without weight so as not to inhibit freedom of movement, comfort or a tailored form.
A natural insulator, merino regulates body temperature fluctuations, keeping you warm in colder temperatures and cool in hot conditions. Highly breathable and odor resistant, merino keeps you fresh in even the most active settings. On top of it all, the natural fabric is exceptionally comfortable and has a soft handfeel.
